Galway Community Heritage is an online archive for communities in County Galway, West of Ireland. Volunteers from each community have developed this website to showcase the history and heritage of their local area and people, both past and present.
The communities represented on this website are:

- Galway County Heritage Office
Contributions are not only welcomed but are encouraged. It’s easy to upload information by going to the appropriate community home page. Click ‘Contribute’ at the top of the page to open an online form where you can upload documents, images and videos. Alternatively, each community has a dedicated email address so that you can easily get in touch.
This community archive is a member of the Irish Community Archive Network (iCAN) and is a joint initiative of Galway County Council Heritage Office and the National Museum of Ireland – Country Life.
The archive is also registered with community archives.org.uk . This is a national group which aims to support and promote community archives in the UK & Ireland.
