BULLAUN, a parish in co. Galway, barony of Loughrea, dispensary district of Bullaun, in Loughrea union, Protestant diocese of Kilmacduagh, Catholic diocese of Clonfert, 4 ½ miles north from Loughrea railway station, containing 5 towlands. For ecclesiastical purposes this parish is united to kilcolgan. There is a Catholic church. The area comprises 1,728 acres; the population in 1891 was 181.
