The cows on the farm are tied in several ways. Some are tied in cabins, some with a rope around their horns attached to a post in the ground. Others can be fastened by a chain around the neck attached to a beam that runs across the cabin, inside which the hay is given. Others still, are tied in “bales”, that is timber posts stuck into the ground with the cow’s head in between the posts. A block is stuck at the top to keep the post on the cow’s neck.
