The Geological Survey of Ireland and Galway County Council are currently undertaking a Geological Heritage Audit of County Galway, which examines the sites of county, national and international importance within the county in terms of their geological uniqueness. Galway has over 00 sites, and fieldwork is currently focussing on mapping and examining the state of these sites in the mid Gwlay area. This video shows some of the more unusual, and less regarded, sites in this general area.
