In the northeastern region of Kilthomas, in the barony of Kiltartan, is the townland of Grannagh. 

O’Donovan’s Field Name Books documented other spellings used, these include Gráineach

Gráineach, Grannaghaun, and Granna. Grannagh was made up of long and narrow arable land. In Grannagh was Giants Hill and Grave. The proprietor is Mr. Pierce and the portion let is £1. 7 shillings per acre. The county cess or tax was 1 shilling.

Griffith’s Valuation 1855

This source reported only Burton Persse as the landowner. He occupied his holding of land, 162 acres, 3 roods, and 21 perches. It was valued to be  £84-10-0. This was the total annual valuation of rateable property paid overall.
