Pat Greaney’s Bonhams

Dunmore, Co. Galway

A man in Hundred Acres, Ballinlough, Co. Roscommon named Pat Greaney had a great number of bonhams. A stranger came one day and admired them and soon after they began to die. A neighbour advised him to find the stranger and bring him back so that he could say “God bless them”. This he did, and no more of them died.
