Once upon a time there lived in the district of Clifden a fisherman. one day he caught some baits and he went down fishing. On his way down, he met the priest, and the priest asked him where he was going. I caught some baits he said and I going to try them. “Were you at first mass” said the priest, “No said the man” but I am going to second mass. The priest walked away, and the man went fishing. When he was a while fishing, he saw scores of fish coming in, and he was so delighted that he forgot about mass. He had a bog with him and when he had it full of fish he got ready for home. On his way up, the road he met the priest again and the priest asked him was he at second mass. “No he said” Look in your bag said the priest. the man let down the bag. “Look inside” said the priest. He looked inside and what had he but a bag full of black beetles.
