Éadach

Is díol spéise an t-éadach a chaitheadh daoine i rith na meánaoiseanna. Bhíodh fochótaí agus forchótaí ar na mná uaisle. Is gúna simplí an fochóta a chaití faoin bhforchóta. Gúna gan aon taobh leis a bhíodh sa bhforchóta. Chaití sin os cionn an fhochóta agus d’úsáití beilt ar a dtugtaí crios.

Toineach giortach le muinchillí fairsinge agus bróga geancacha a bhíodh ar na fir shaibhre.

Baill éadaigh a dhéantaí sa bhaile a bhíodh ar an gcosmhuintir. Bhídís chomh simplí le dhá phíosa éadaigh dronuileogacha fuaite le chéile. Ba iad na mná a dhéanadh an t-éadach.

Clothing

The Clothing of Medieval times were very interesting. Noble women wore under coats and sur coats. The under coat is a plain dress worn under the sur coat. The sur coat was a dress with no side, worn over the under coat, they used a belt called a girdle.

Rich men wore short tunics with wide sleeves and long pointed shoes.

Peasants wore homemade clothes; they were as simple as two rectangular pieces of cloth sown together. The clothes were made by peasant women.
