Boghdóirí

Boghdóir a thugtar ar dhuine a scaoileann saigheada le bogha. Bhíodh 24 saighead, nó glac saighead, ar iompar ag gach Boghdóir. Scaoileadh boghdóirí saigheada uaireanta a bhíodh trí lasadh. Bhíodh na saigheada ar iompar i mbolg saighead ag an mboghdóir, nó sin sáite sa chaoi is go mbíodh siad coinnithe ag an gcrios. Bhíodh saighdiúirí áirithe a scaoileadh saigheada giortacha le crosbhogha. Bhí roinnt de na crosbhogha chomh mór cumhachtach go dteastaíodh deis tochrais le sreang an bhogha a theannadh siar. Bhíodh ar chumas an bhoghdóra oilte isteach is amach le 12 saighead sa nóiméad a scaoileadh. Ní dócha go bhféadfadh an saighdiúir a raibh crosbhogha mór in úsáid aige níos mó ná dhá shaighead a ligean i rith an achair sin. Trí thruicear a tharraingt, ionas go scaoiltí sreang an bhogha, a ligeadh an crosbhoghdóir saighead.

Archers

Archers are people who shoot arrows from bows. Each Archer carried 24 arrows, called a Sheath. Sometimes Archers would fire flaming arrows. Archers carried their arrows in a quiver or pushed them through their belt. Some soldiers fired short arrows called bolts from cross bows. Some cross bows were so powerful that the bow string had to be pulled back with a winding mechanism. A skilled Archer could release about 12 arrows per minute. A soldier using a powerful crossbow might shoot only 2 arrows in that amount of time. The crossbow man shot an arrow by pulling a trigger to release the bow string.
