Donaghpatrick Kilcoona Heritage Society
The parishes of Donaghpatrick and Kilcoona are situated in North Galway and make up the rich historical area commonly known as Caherlistrane. From the heights of Knockma in the east to the shores of Lough Corrib in the west, the landscape abounds with architectural gems, renowned historical figures, a wealth of musical heritage and a rich tradition of folklore. Home to one of the oldest GAA clubs in the country, it comprises over 100 townlands, and it is our aim here in these pages to help share and record its wonderful built, cultural and natural heritage.
