According to the National Monuments Service, there is one ringfort and one children’s burial ground in Bellanagaurran.

 Children’s Burial Ground (GA028-003—-:)

Situated on a rise in grassland. A well-preserved rectangular area (N-S 13.3m, E-W 11.1m) enclosed by a partially collapsed drystone wall. Within the interior, numerous small set stones indicate graves oriented E-W.

Ringfort (GA042-028—-: )

Situated on a rise in gently undulating grassland. A poorly preserved circular rath (D c. 40m) defined by a bank. Quarrying has encroached upon the enclosing element at SW and N, and a field wall overlies it from W to N. Another field wall cuts the monument at NW and SE.

The above description is derived from the published ‘Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II – North Galway’. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). Date of upload: 05 August 2010
