Park is situated in the civil parish of Kilbegnet, Barony of Ballymoe, County Galway. Park can be found 50 chains South East of Millford House located in Millford townland.
The Down Survey Map indicated the 1670 (Post Cromwell) owners of Park, under the name Gravagh, were John Bourke (Catholic) and Sir Maurice Hurley (Protestant).
O’Donovan’s Field Name Books states the South East boundary of Park is formed from the Ahascragh to Roscommon road. Park Village can be found in the South Western portion of this townland. The remaining land is made up of tillage and pasture.
Census 1841-1851
According to the 1851 census, Park consists of 167 acres, 2 roods and 22 perches. The 1841 population was 145 people, 74 were male and 71 were female. There were 32 houses, and all were occupied. By 1851, the population had decreased to 115 people, 55 of whom were male and 60 were female. There were 22 houses, all of which were occupied. The poor law valuation rate paid in 1851 was £56-0-0.
Griffith’s Valuation 1847-1864
According to Griffith’s Valuation Allen Pollock was the immediate lessor of the land. Martin Mannion paid £1-10-0 for house, offices and land measuring 1 acre, 2 roods and 26 perches. Thomas Keeffe paid a total of £0-18-0 for a lot of land measuring 1 acre, 1 rood and 8 perches and another lot of land measuring 2 acres, 2 roods and 16 perches on the same holding.
Michael McCaigue and Hugh Finneran rented on the same holding measuring 16 acres, 3 roods and 0 perches. Michael paid £6-10-0 for house, office and land. Hugh paid £3-10-0 for house, office and land. Patrick Nowlan rented house and land measuring 8 acres, 0 roods and 10 perches of £5-0-0.
Denis Corbett paid £1-10-0 for 2 acres, 0 roods and 4 perches of land and 1 acre, 0 roods and 34 perches of house and land. John Corbett rented house and land measuring 2 acres, 0 roods and 24 perches and a lot of land measuring 1 acre, 3 roods and 33 perches for £1-15-0. Bridget Finneran paid £3-10-0 for 6 acres, 3 roods and 27 perches of house, office and land.

William Ryan paid a total of £8-10-0 for house, office and land measuring 16 acres, 1 rood and 35 perches and land measuring 0 acres, 1 rood and 20 perches on the same holding. The total annual valuation of rateable property was £78-13-0.

Despite research the 1901 and 1911 Census records for Park have not been found as of the 10th of July 2020. Research is ongoing.
