Lissycullaun, Lios Ui Choileain, O’Collins’s fort

Lissycullaun lies at the southern boundary of the civil parish of Killallaghtan barony of Kilconnell Co Galway. It is bounded in the same barony by Poppyhill townland and by Ballydonnellan East in Clonmacnoon barony in this parish and by Lissacullaan in the parish of Killoran and the barony of Longford.

O’Donovan’s Field Name Books give other spellings of this townland: Lissacullaan Liscullane, and Lisnawoltan.
